29.11.04 : 16:40 - Half
LifeČ Acquired!
Just started playing it, hopefully it'll live up to years of hype and the success of the original... hmm.
In other news... I got myself a webcam, going to find something interesting to point it at and try to encorporate it into the site.

Saturday
30.10.04 : 18:21 - Various Releases
GTA
San Andreas is out for the PS2. Hopefully the PC version will be along
soon. Seems to be a slight departure from the first four games in that
it's more centered on the character than on the driving or weapons as
Vice City was. Let's see if the low-tech approach makes this one as successful
as its predecessors.
Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence has been
released, and looks even more awesome than the first. The film centers
mainly on Batou (and his dog), although the Major makes an appearance
later on. Fans of the first film and indeed the Stand Alone Complex series
will love this sequel.>

29.10.04 : 16:45 - Religious Symbols In Schools Rant
I Think the French have started
the ball rolling. It's my view that public education should have no connection
with religious beliefs. We'll be better off when religion is seperated
from the general running of the world for a number of reasons.
- Christianity, and most others, teach
disregard for the physical world and what it offers, in persuit of 'heaven'.
This clearly doesnt spell anything good for the future.
- The mentality of choosing to follow something
such as that should, by definition, preclude people from places of office
and being in positions to indoctrinate others.

29.10.04 : 16:27 - Fear And Loathing
"We
were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs
began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I feel a bit
lightheaded; maybe you should drive. . . ." And suddenly there was
a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like
huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which
was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas.
And a voice was screaming: "Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?"..."
